TMG Health, Inc. Names New Senior VP Of Operations
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- TMG Health, the leading national provider of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services for Medicare and Medicaid managed care plans, announces the appointment of William F. Pierce, Jr. as Senior Vice President of Operations. Pierce will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day internal operations of TMG Health. He will direct the operations, policies and programs within claims, customer service, billing, enrollment, business support and organizational process improvement areas.
Pierce is a senior managed healthcare executive with proven strengths in developing, leading, and consulting with managed care organizations, healthcare organizations and insurance companies at all stages of development. He brings a wealth of over 30 years of industry experience to his new position. In addition to his strong Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial health plan management background, he has Facets(R) experience and a solid IT background.
Pierce's recent experience includes serving as interim Chief Operating Officer for Boston Medical Center Health Plan where he implemented the Facets(R) claims system for this rapidly growing Medicaid MCO that evolved from an entrepreneurial start-up to a strategically driven organization. Pierce has also served as Senior VP and COO at Mid-America Health where he was responsible for information technology, network contracting and management, legal and regulatory compliance, claims, enrollment, membership, premium billing and collections, customer services, and facilities management and security. Additionally he organized and led the development and implementation planning of an organizational strategy for compliance with the privacy, security and electronic transactional requirements of HIPAA.
Other distinguished positions include: Managing Principal of Carolina Mediation, Inc., Acting President and CEO for AmeriCan Medical Plan of South Carolina, President and CEO of OSF HealthPlans, Inc., President and CEO of ConnectiCare, Inc., Director of Administrative and Finance for John Hancock Healthplans, and VP of Claims and Administration for the Colonial Penn Group.
