Sunovion Expands Commitment To Building Stronger Communities Through Partnerships With The Red Sox Foundation, United Way Of Tri-County And Bergen Volunteer Center

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Sunovion) today announced its expanded commitment to building stronger communities through a new partnership supporting the Red Sox Foundation and the launch of its sixth annual Hands On! volunteer service program supporting organizations in the communities where Sunovion operates, including United Way of Tri-County in Massachusetts and Bergen Volunteer Center in New Jersey.

An official partner of the Boston Red Sox, Sunovion announced its support of the Red Sox Foundation during “Sunovion Day” at Fenway Park held July 14, 2017. The Red Sox Foundation helps organizations that align with Sunovion’s approach to corporate responsibility, including focusing on community educational initiatives and programs that address serious medical conditions and mental health.

Sunovion will host its annual community day of service on August 17, 2017, during which more than 300 Sunovion employees will each volunteer a full day to work on community service projects. The project opportunities are provided by Sunovion’s long-standing partners United Way of Tri-County and Bergen Volunteer Center.

Since the inception of Hands On! in 2012, Sunovion has contributed resources and more than 20,000 employee volunteer hours to projects including those focused on science and educational initiatives for youth, community relief efforts and addressing health and medical needs in the communities in which Sunovion employees live and work.
