The American Heart Association and Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a part of Wolters Kluwer Health, will launch six new journals dedicated to presenting the most important papers in key subspecialty areas in cardiology.The new journals are an extension of the weekly flagship journal, Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association, which is ranked first in the areas of cardiac and cardiology vascular systems with an impact factor of 10.940, according to the 2006 Institute for Scientific Informational Journal Citation Reports. The announcement was made at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions 2007, now underway at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
