Biotechnology company Arana Therapeutics Limited (ASX: AAH) today announced the appointment of Dr Steffen Nock to the position of acting Chief Executive Officer. Dr Nock is currently President of Arana Therapeutics Inc based in San Francisco. He holds a PhD in biochemistry from Bayreuth University, Germany. Prior to joining Arana he has held senior positions with biotechnology companies Evogenix, Absalus and Zyomyx as well as a research position at Stanford University, USA.
Robin Beaumont, Chairman of Arana said: “We are delighted that Steffen has agreed to accept this role which involves his relocation to Australia for around 6 months. Steffen has excellent credentials with strong scientific, business management and global investor experience which equip him well for the position. In parallel, we are commissioning an international search for a permanent CEO.”
