Dawning Technologies, Inc. and Medical Automation Systems, Inc. to Develop a Business Partnership

FORT MYERS, Fla. and CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Dawning Technologies, Inc. (Dawning) and Medical Automation Systems, Inc. (MAS) announced today they have begun a joint project to leverage their product synergies and create added value for their customers.

The partner project will focus on the seamless integration of Dawning’s instrument interface and laboratory middleware products with MAS’s RALS(R)- Plus POC Data Management solutions. RALS-Plus is a widely used point-of-care (POC) data management system developed and marketed by MAS. The joint project between Dawning and RALS will enable users of the RALS system to connect a wider range of POC devices through their existing RALS-Plus system.

“We are very pleased with this new business relationship,” said John Selmyer, Dawning’s President. “MAS has been a leader in POC connectivity for many years, and we believe our technology can add real value to current and new MAS product offerings. We will be working with MAS to develop applications that make a difference to customers,” he said. The integration between Dawning’s system and RALS will leverage Dawning’s JResultNet Middleware software as well as the new JavaLin/PDI device in order to provide connectivity for serial and network based POC Analyzers.

The immediate benefit of this project is to provide MAS’s RALS-Plus system with connectivity to devices in Dawning’s Java Instrument Driver Library. “One of our strategic goals has always been to offer our customers total freedom of choice in the selection of their Point of Care technology platforms,” said Greg Menke, MAS President and CEO. “Partnering with Dawning will make this goal a reality. We are very excited about this new partnership and what it will mean to our 1500 hospital customers.”
