Sunrise Medical Announces Acquisition Of Three Leading Seating Companies

CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunrise Medical announced today the acquisitions of Adaptive Equipment Systems (AES), RehabiliTech Inc. and Whitmyer Biomechanix, Inc.

Adaptive Equipment Systems (AES) is a full range manufacturer of wheelchair seating and positioning products. AES was founded in 1993 and has three locations in Baltimore, Maryland, San Francisco, California and Seattle, Washington. The AES product line includes the Li’l Kiddos line of pediatric hardware and seating, SculptureFit custom molded seating and the ComforFit line of soft secondary supports. AES is dedicated to the design and fabrication of high quality seating and positioning products that meet the needs of the less involved to the highly involved end users.

RehabiliTech was founded in 1994 to manufacture custom configured seating systems for the users of wheelchairs.
