In addition to its successful line of Wearable Therapy® devices, the company is announcing the launch of Tripleflex, a new category of devices which impart lift and energy to paralyzed limbs to help improve walking in patients with hip, knee and foot drop. Foot drop is a condition in which the foot does not have proper muscle control to lift the foot from the ground when walking. Patients with foot drop are prone to tripping and falling and have a very difficult time walking even short distances. When the entire lower limb is weak, the hip and knee also drop, and the struggle to walk is magnified.

TripleFlex fulfills a need not achieved by orthotics, which typically restrict movement. Instead, TripleFlex puts energy into a patient’s step by flexing the hip, knee, and ankle joints to improve the biomechanics of walking.

“We are delighted that so many patients and therapists have taken to Tripleflex this soon after its release. There’s a lot of demand for this type of product. We knew that traditional bracing had limitations and that patients wanted something more dynamic. We listen to our patients concerns and address them. Tripleflex is a direct result of meeting patient’s needs. It’s a new rehab paradigm with so much potential to help people.” Philip Muccio, CPO President and Founder of Axiobionics

With a passion for excellence in patient care, Axiobionics designs, manufactures, and fits a wide array of innovative and life-changing medical devices for people with medical conditions affecting the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. Axiobionics promotes healthier bodies by providing conservative, non-pharmacological, patient-matched solutions to complex medical conditions.
