Biomedical Structures LLC Names Dean Tulumaris President and CEO

WARWICK, RI--(Marketwire - September 12, 2011) -

Biomedical Structures, LLC (BMS), a provider of biomedical textiles for medical devices and other advanced clinical applications, today announced the appointment of Dean J. Tulumaris as president and chief executive officer.

“We are incredibly pleased to welcome Dean to BMS,” said John Gray, founder of BMS and chief operating officer. “Dean has a proven record of strategic leadership success and deep medical device industry experience that will be very beneficial to the future of BMS as we continue to grow.”

Mr. Tulumaris has extensive experience at companies focused on the outsourced development and manufacturing of medical devices, including Memry Corporation and MedSource Technologies, and brings a broad range of experience in strategic planning, operations, mergers & acquisitions, and business and product development to BMS. During his tenure at Memry, where he held several positions prior to becoming president and CEO, Mr. Tulumaris directed a systematic expansion of production capabilities, both organically and through strategic acquisition, to enhance the service offerings to Memry’s medical device OEM customers. These efforts led revenues to nearly double over three years.

“Dean’s addition to the team, along with our acquisition of Concordia Medical earlier this year, will continue to drive the impressive growth we have been enjoying and will accelerate BMS’s expansion of capabilities and services for our customers,” stated Randy Spencer, chairman of the board of directors.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of the BMS team,” said Tulumaris. “The company’s commitment to excellence in quality, service, and innovation is well-recognized and provides a strong foundation from which to create a very exciting future.”
