Eksigent Technologies Names Vice President Of Business Development For Medical Devices

Eksigent Technologies, a leader in the development and commercialization of novel microfluidic pumping solutions, announces that Michael Brasseur has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development, Medical Devices. This new position represents a strong commitment to expand the medical device segment of Eksigent’s business. The foundation technology in this business is the EKPump™ device – a proprietary, high-performance, single-use electrokinetic pump for drug infusion and diagnostic applications. The devices are currently in development for implantable and non-implantable drug delivery applications for proteins, peptides and small molecules. EKPumps are configurable and have few or no moving parts. They are smaller and less expensive than other pumping devices on the market today. The company plans to grow this business largely through partnerships, agreements and licenses.
