Globus Medical, Inc. Plans Major Move To New Headquarters

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa., July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Globus Medical, Inc., one of the ten largest spinal implant manufacturers in the U.S., has announced its purchase of a 133,000 square foot mixed-use facility in the Philadelphia suburbs. The site, ideally situated on 13 acres in the Valley Forge Business Center, will more than quadruple the size of Globus Medical’s facilities, currently housed in three separate, leased locations. The move will enable the company to consolidate its headquarters, research, design, custom engineering and operations departments under one roof. The new headquarters will also serve as the future home of a world class training facility for spine education, featuring a cadaver lab, dry lab and a state of the art multi-media classroom that accommodates up to 40 participants.

According to Dave Demski, Chief Financial Officer, Globus Medical, the relocation and consolidation will further improve the company’s operational efficiency, and will serve to enhance internal communication among all areas of the business. Ownership of the facility will also enhance Globus Medical’s ability to make significant, lasting investments in additional technological capabilities.

“We’re building a long term home for Globus Medical,” explains Demski. “Ownership means that the investments we make in modifying the space or incorporating advanced technology will continue to benefit the company for many years to come. We’re excited about the opportunity to expand our already extensive prototype fabrication facilities -- a critical element in our unique product development process and the quick results it produces. The existing building and 13 plus acres of surrounding land will clearly serve our needs well into the foreseeable future.”

Demski reports that the new location, previously a manufacturing facility, needs very few modifications -- one of the many attributes that attracted Globus to the site. The premiere, one-story structure is already in immaculate condition, fully heated and air-conditioned, and includes a finished suite of offices and ample paved parking.

“The purchase of our new headquarters makes complete sense from every possible angle,” adds Demski. “It’s reflective of our utilitarian personality, and completely consistent with our highly practical approach to doing business. It’s a perfect fit.”

The company plans to move to its new headquarters, located at 2560 General Armistead Boulevard in the Valley Forge Business Center, in mid-summer.
