BOSTON, April 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Perceptive Informatics, the industry’s leading eClinical solutions provider and a subsidiary of PAREXEL International Corporation , today announced that it has expanded the number of languages supported by its ClinPhone Interactive Web Response System (IWRS) including Japanese Kanji, the Chinese characters used in the Japanese writing system. Perceptive Informatics has experienced increased demand to incorporate Japanese Kanji into its IWRS due to the growing importance of the Asia/Pacific region in biopharmaceutical development. With this latest enhancement, Perceptive’s IWRS now supports over 80 languages via the web including the Chinese, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Korean, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Thai, Turkish and Ukrainian languages.
“Perceptive is meeting increased client demand for innovative technology that facilitates the conduct of large-scale global trials and web-based data collection. Some of the languages we have added to this IWRS enhancement correspond with the growth in trials being conducted in emerging regions,” said Todd Kole, Vice President, Interactive Voice and Web Response Systems, Perceptive Informatics.
Perceptive’s IWRS can now support clinical trials worldwide that include multiple languages and require real-time, web-based data collection. The Perceptive Informatics data center provides 24/7 global support for clinical trials involving multiple countries, time zones and languages. The IWRS platform powers Perceptive’s Randomization and Trial Supply Management (RTSM) technologies, which offer validated randomization methods, automated inventory control, dispensing and titration management, emergency code break capabilities and real-time supply reporting. The web interface of the IWRS allows for integration with Perceptive’s Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) as part of its eClinical platform.
The IWRS complements the ClinPhone Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), enabling Internet and telephone access and allowing end-users to perform study activities via one or both interfaces. Both methods provide secure access, a detailed audit trail, transaction logging and compliance with FDA 21 CRF Part 11.
