Job postings live on BioSpace in January were down 15% year over year but up slightly month over month. While the roughly 1% increase was small, it’s an improvement over how 2025 kicked off. Jobs live in January 2025 were down 1% from December 2024.

Also noteworthy: According to the new BioSpace 2026 U.S. Life Sciences Employment Outlook report, 41% of respondents to a late 2025 survey predicted their companies’ open roles will increase this year.
