Astro-Med, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALOT) today announced that its Grass Technologies product group has been awarded a three-year contract from Broadlane Inc., a leading healthcare Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) that serves more than 915 acute care hospitals, more than 2,600 sub-acute care facilities and more than 18,000 physician practices. Under the terms of the contract, Astro-Med's Grass Technologies brand Sleep Diagnostic (PSG) and Electroencephalography (EEG) systems can be purchased by all Broadlane member organizations. The contract goes into effect on April 1, 2009.

In May 2008, Grass Technologies announced a two-year contract with Premier, a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), for purchasing of Grass® sleep diagnostic systems.

Grass Technologies, an Astro-Med, Inc. Product Group, has designed, manufactured, and sold PSG, EEG, and other neurophysiological monitoring systems for use by hospitals and labs around the world since 1935. Grass recently announced the introduction of SleepTrek3, a sleep diagnostic system for home use, and the Neurotrac III Neuromonitoring system for monitoring EEG in patients in the ICU and OR.
