Of particular interest this year will be in-booth presentations by renowned cardiac surgeon and innovator, Dr. James Cox. Entitled “Form Follows Function”, Dr. Cox will elaborate on the concepts that formed the basis for a unique design approach to tissue valve prostheses currently being developed by 3F Therapeutics. On January 23, 2006, ATS Medical entered into a definitive agreement to purchase 3F Therapeutics.

ATS Medical is increasingly recognized as a respected provider and partner with the cardiovascular surgery community and our expanding product portfolio will be on display. Highlighted products include the newly introduced ATS Simulus(TM) line of valve repair products for use in mitral and tricuspid procedures, and the evolutionary ATS Open Pivot(R) Heart Valve. An increasing number of surgeons are finding the SurgiFrost(R) and FrostByte(TM) cryoablation systems to be a therapy of choice for the surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation. Hands-on demonstrations of this intriguing technology will be available at ATS Medical’s booth #1021. Attendees will also be able to gather information on allograft tissue from ATS Medical’s partner Regeneration Technologies-Cardiovascular and on INR home monitoring support from Quality Assured Services.

“It is an honor to be an active participant in the AATS Annual Meeting. We are particularly enthused about the opportunity to demonstrate for our AATS friends the many developments that have occurred since last year’s meeting. We are gratified by the growing support for our expanding line of ATS Medical products and services focusing on the needs of the cardiac surgeon,” said Michael D. Dale, Chairman, President and CEO of ATS Medical.
