LOUDON, Tenn., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Adroit Medical Systems has been awarded a three-year contract with Premier, Inc., one of the nation's largest purchasing organizations for hospitals and medical facilities.
Under the contract, Adroit Medical Systems will have access to approximately 30% of hospitals in the U. S. This represents more than 1,500 hospital facilities in 50 states and hundreds of other care sites. Premier is one of the largest contracting services in the nation, with over $17 billion in annual purchasing power.
The contract covers Adroit Medical Systems' temperature therapy products, including blankets, wraps, pads, and equipment. Adroit Medical Systems patented the first disposable temperature therapy blanket, and is regarded as an innovator in thermal regulation product design. The company actively provides education on thermal regulation products and can offer one of the most complete collections of clinical studies available on heat/cold therapy.
"The advantage Adroit Medical brings to Premier is exclusive access to new technology originally developed in Israel," said Scott Gammons, Vice President. "We now can include 17 clinical studies that prove our thermal regulation systems provide better patient safety during surgical procedures and for treatment of neurological injuries."
Adroit Medical Systems is a manufacturer, developer, and marketer of conductive and convective thermal regulation systems. Adroit Medical serves all patient care settings from hospital to homecare. The company offers multiple ways of heating and cooling the human body for surgical procedures, sports, and localized pain relief. Full-body blankets are used to regulate a patient's temperature during surgery, or to cool comatose, stroke or traumatic brain-injured (TBI) patients to improve neurological recovery.
Portable cooling systems help reduce pain and swelling after orthopedic surgery, and provide personal cooling for a variety of occupations. Home heat therapy systems made by Adroit are a popular drug-free alternative to treat arthritis and other types of pain.
Adroit Medical is also a contract manufacturer of a number of other medical devices, including sterile draping and surgical instrument covers. To learn more, visit the Adroit Medical Systems website at http://www.adroitmedical.com/ .
