TORONTO, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- AMEC has named Angus J. Maciver as President of the Industrial & PharmaChem Division for AMEC in the Americas. Maciver, who is a highly experienced executive with a 30-year background in engineering and construction, will be responsible for overseeing the company's engineering, design and construction management business for clients engaged in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, food and beverage, process and manufacturing industries.
Most recently, Maciver was Senior Vice President of Biopharmaceuticals for Washington Group International, Inc. responsible for the company's BioPharm Division. He previously worked in the firm's London office, with increasing roles in project management and operations until being named General Manager in 1998.
Prior to joining Washington Group's predecessor, Raytheon Engineers and Constructors in 1993, he served in project engineering and construction management roles on international projects in the process, petrochemicals and pharmaceutical industries. Maciver received a Master of Business Administration degree from Kingston University in Surrey, England.
