WASHINGTON, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Click4Care and iMetrikus, leading companies focused on improving health care, announced an agreement to create the first-ever medical management tool that combines biometric patient data with an established medical management software system that enables health plans to identify and medically manage their members. The news was announced at the 16th Annual National Managed Health Care Congress, May 5-7 in Washington, DC. Through its innovative MediCompass(TM) and MetrikLink(TM), iMetrikus will provide: real-time remote capture and monitoring of patient data and interactive and shareable views of the patients’ health status with objective outcomes measures. Click4Care will provide its recognized expertise in developing software that: automates medical management workflow, facilitates population stratification and patient identification and aids clinical decision support. The new module, ThinkMetrix powered by iMetrikus’ MediCompass, will become part of Click4Care’s suite of ThinkHealth software applications.
The groundbreaking ThinkMetrix module is expected to extend the relationship between the payers and providers that currently use Click4Care’s software (such as The Regence Group, Tufts Health Plan, and ProHealth Physicians) and their most important customers, the plan members/patients, their providers and their support networks. By combining iMetrikus-enabled biometric and self reported care data with Click4Care’s predictive algorithms and clinical decision support and workflow tools, the companies are aiming to deliver an unprecedented solution with the sophistication to identify which patients are at risk for non-compliance, the financial impacts and optimal care pathways to meet patients’ needs.
“Pressures on the U.S. healthcare system inevitably will require consumers to make more choices regarding their health care and underwrite more of their own risk. We believe that these external forces will drive every surviving health plan to change from an underwriting and administrative entity to an entity whose primary value comes from enabling consumers to make optimal health care choices,” said David Blauer, CEO, Click4Care. “With iMetrikus’ digital monitoring solutions embedded in it, ThinkHealth becomes an artificially intelligent system that can adjust to patients’ biometric inputs to match workflows and care pathways to patients’ real time needs. This is the first step in a much anticipated end-to-end system that involves all stakeholders for an improved model of health care and health care administration.”
The ThinkMetrix module will support automatic remote data downloads and/or manually added biometric data from digital monitoring devices to deliver a longitudinal, actionable view of the patient’s health status and identify opportunities for early intervention and care management strategies. The new system will provide patients, providers, key support network members and payers with the ability to view and respond to the data and related information.
“We are pleased to be partnering with Click4Care to develop the innovative ThinkMetrix module,” said Matt Sanders, CEO, iMetrikus. “Combining our expertise in patient and caregiver connectivity and remote patient monitoring with Click4Care’s highly acclaimed medical management software, we believe we are in an ideal position to jointly market this revolutionary product.”
