• Newly redesigned CleanRTP (clean rapid transfer port) will be on display
Auburn Hills, Mich. (July 21, 2015) – DESTACO, the industry’s leading provider of high-performance automation and workholding solutions, today announced its product demonstration lineup for the American Glovebox Society (AGS) Glovebox & Isolator Annual Conference & Expo to be held July 27-29 in San Diego.
Located at booth #17, DESTACO will feature a unique glovebox/isolator unit for convenient testing of multiple Central Research Laboratory (CRL) remote-handling solutions in one place. Attendees will be able to experience CRL’s newly launched CleanRTP–the industry’s cleanest rapid transfer port; a Push-Through Gloveport System; and a G-LDR Telemanipulator.
“Through its CRL brand, DESTACO offers a wide range of high-performance containment solutions allowing glovebox and isolator users to transport hazardous and toxic products more safely and efficiently,” said Steve Chunglo, global business development manager of life sciences and nuclear for DESTACO. “The AGS Expo gives us an opportunity to showcase our comprehensive line of customizable products across a variety of industries, not only through demos but also through our team of on-site design specialists and engineers.”
Solutions on Display
CRL’s CleanRTP is engineered to place materials in and out of isolators and gloveboxes without breaking containment. This remote-handling solution is available in a variety of sizes and configurations with three port-door designs–including stainless steel, polypropylene and liquid transfer–and can also be customized for specific
The Push-Through Gloveport System features rapid glove changes for minimized risk of operator or material exposure. Users can change out gloves, viewing windows, bags and plugs without losing containment. The system is available with standard round gloveports, or oval ports that offer better ergonomics. The system is compatible with most glove designs, so users can choose the best option for each application.
DESTACO’s CRL G-LDR telemanipulator provides all the benefits of the proven G-LD line, but in a smaller package. With reduced internal isolator height, the G-LDR arm does not require any internal space above the mount opening. It also features a telescoping operation and ambidextrous handle for maximum versatility.
