Integrated Laboratory Systems Secures a Multi-Million Dollar Contract with National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and NTP for Investigative Research Support

ILS has been awarded a 10 year contract supporting the investigative research efforts at the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and the National Toxicology Program (NTP). In this award, ILS will conduct and manage multiple concurrent studies for NIEHS to better understand the cellular and genetic components of human disease and the impact of the environment on susceptible populations. These studies may involve in vitro assays, in vivo in-life studies, biochemical, cellular and molecular analyses, histopathological evaluations and reporting of results. The contract will utilize ILS’s SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) and Non-SPF facilities to conduct research involving the breeding and utilization of multiple unique models of human disease. The diverse scientific expertise, the staff experience, the equipment, laboratories, and facilities make ILS uniquely qualified to successfully manage and support this highly diverse research-based contract.

ILS is a small business and provides toxicology, genetic, pathology/histology, molecular, environmental and clinical research and testing services, as well as services for preparing reviews of the toxicological literature, chemical information profiles, and customized database systems for a variety of federal and commercial clients.
