MELVILLE, N.Y., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Nycomed US Inc. announced today the appointment of Joseph J. LaRosa as its new Senior Vice President and General Counsel, reporting to Steve Andrzejewski, CEO of Nycomed US. Joe will be the chief legal advisor of the company and oversee all of the company’s legal and intellectual property matters. In addition, he will also be responsible for the company’s compliance functions.
Joe was Vice President, Legal Affairs at Schering-Plough Corporation, where he served as a corporate officer and a member of the operations management team. In over 15 years with that company he led several critical legal functions including international, US health care and managed markets, marketing and sales, commercial law and M&A /licensing. He also served as corporate secretary to the board and headed the securities and governance group. Joe’s experience in compliance includes serving as Vice President of Global Compliance and Legal Affairs at Avon Products, Inc., where he was that company’s first global chief compliance officer. Earlier, Joe practiced law with New York law firms.
Joe holds a law degree from New York University School of Law and a BA in Psychology and Political Science from New York University.
