Lakewood Hospital Announces Appointment Of Chief Administrative Officer

LAKEWOOD, Ohio, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Jack Gustin has been appointed chief administrative officer of Lakewood Hospital. Fred DeGrandis, chief executive officer of Lakewood Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic Health System - Western Region made the announcement.

Prior to his appointment at Lakewood Hospital, Gustin served as chief operating officer of the Cleveland Clinic Health System - Western Region. He previously served as chief operating officer at St. John West Shore Hospital, the Medical Center of Plano, Texas; and St. Catherine's Hospital in Wisconsin.

Gustin is well known to the Lakewood Hospital community. His health care career began when he served as a paramedic for Lakewood Hospital/City of Lakewood and then became director of Emergency Services. He remained at Lakewood Hospital for 15 years, leaving as assistant administrator of Ambulatory Services. Gustin's father also served at Lakewood Hospital as supervisor of maintenance from 1969 to 1976.

Gustin is a certified paramedic and continues to work closely with Emergency Medical Service squads in Greater Cleveland. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Cleveland Clinic Health System - Western Region EMS Academy and serves on the WeShare Emergency Council.

Gustin holds a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University, a master's degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and is a Diplomat of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is active in numerous community organizations and events including the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, the Northcoast Chamber of Commerce, the North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce, Celebrate Westlake and the Westpark Heroes Run.

He and his family reside in Avon Lake.
