The Kickstarter campaign for the Neuroon started more than two years ago in December 2013, when Inteliclinic - Neuroon's founding startup - launched the project and revealed to the public the initial version of the mask.
Inteliclinic established two goals for the Neuroon campaign:
40 days - the duration of Kickstarter campaign $100,000 - money the company expected to gather In only 3 days, Inteliclinic raised $200,000 for their dream project. When the campaign finished in January 2014, the final amount of collected money was $438,574 USD, backed by 1,944 people. It was a huge surprise for the founders. They knew that Neuroon had huge potential but were wondering how many people would notice it and be willing to trust in the founders' vision.
The overwhelming success of the campaign opened the possibility to develop the project further by adding new features to the Neuroon, enhancing its functionality. After almost two years of intensive work, consultations with medical authorities and tests, on December 2015 the first Kickstarter backers received the final version of the Neuroon. Now, in May Inteliclinic can confirm that the Neuroon has been sent to all backers who provided sufficient address data.
"Delivering the Neuroon to our Kickstarter backers is a milestone for us and a closure of a very important and fruitful time for our company. Starting from scratch, we ended up with the real, existing product that can change people's daily life," said Kamil Adamczyk, CEO of Inteliclinic.
Neuroon is the first device on the consumer market that can analyze human sleep by monitoring brain waves and improve sleep quality using the breakthrough technology of Bright Light Therapy. Using built-in biometric sensors, Neuroon system analyzes the user's sleep architecture and, based on the collected data, the mask creates a personalized Bright Light Therapy to improve the user's sleep quality: help him or her fall asleep faster, wake up more energized and adjust his or her body clock to real sleeping hours.
