Premier Cancer Centers Dallas is bringing the first TomoTherapy HSeries to Texas. The H Series was created to make personalized radiation therapy an option for all cancer patients by treating indications across the entire spectrum of radiation oncology.
The H Series is much more than a traditional IMRT device due to a sophisticated multi-leaf collimator that contours a closely defined treatment field from one to five centimeters. Combined with TomoEdge technology, the H Series can dynamically contour the beam to match the shape of the patient’s tumor(s). The result is a balanced treatment delivery that is as unique as each patient.
The H Series includes the CTrue Image guidance system that provides daily 3D CT images to monitor the size of the tumor. Our physicians can adjust the size of the beam to match the margins of the tumor as it is shrinking, sparing more healthy tissue during the course of treatment.
The technological advances of the TomoTherapy H Series allow greater accuracy, flexibility, and efficiency benefiting patients with shorter treatment times. Average treatment time is 15 minutes.
