SAN DIEGO, May 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SynteractHCR, a full-service, global contract research organization (CRO), will attend and present at two conferences in May, Outsourcing in Clinical Trials Southeast and Outsourcing in Clinical Trials Europe. Speakers Barbara Ruby and Dr. Sonja Weiser will address the relationship between sponsors and outsourced clinical research organizations and how their collaboration aids in the success of trials.

Outsourcing in Clinical Trials Southeast will take place in Raleigh-Durham, NC from May 7-8, 2013. SynteractHCR will exhibit at booth #22. Barbara Ruby, associate project director, will present “CRO/Sponsor Successful Collaboration: How to Effectively Work Together” at 2:00 p.m. EDT on May 7th. Ms. Ruby has more than 20 years of experience in clinical research including multiple roles as a study coordinator, sub-investigator, monitor and project manager at both CROs and biotech companies. Her presentation will include how to establish a clinical trial agreement that is clear and comprehensive, how to create team transparency from the outset, and how to manage the unexpected and establish accountability.

The third annual Outsourcing in Clinical Trials Europe will take place in Zurich, Switzerland from May 14-15, 2013. SynteractHCR will exhibit at booth #33. Dr. Sonja Weiser,Regional Director, Nordic & East, will present “Applying Result-driven Techniques to Successfully Transition (and Save) a Failing Study” at 4:00 p.m. CET on May 14th. The presentation will include how to determine when a service provider is not performing and identify when a change in service provider is needed, how to select a new CRO, and how to facilitate a smooth transition that keeps the study on track. Dr. Weiser has more than 13 years of experience in the field of clinical research in pharma and biotech, as well as six years experience in an international CRO environment.
