Dr Caskey, who is professor of molecular and human genetics at Baylor School of Medicine and founder of its Medical Genetics Laboratories, will also serve as the founding member and chair of NextCODE’s scientific advisory board.

He has served as president of the Human Genome Organization, the American Society of Human Genetics and the Academy of Medicine, Engineering and Science of Texas. Dr Caskey’s previous appointments include research posts at NIH as well as five years at Merck as senior vice president, research and president of the Merck Genome Research Institute.
