Back Pain Drug Developer Semnur Raises $6 Million

Semnur Pharmaceuticals, a startup that is working on non-opioid drugs to treat back pain, disclosed on Friday that it has raised $6 million of a projected $30 million funding round.

The Mountain View company led by CEO Jaisim Shah didn’t say who the investors are but disclosed that there are five of them. Shah is a former Roche and Bristol-Myers Squibb executive who has been involved as an exec and advisor to a number of Bay Area biotech and pharma companies.
