Bausch & Lomb isn't the only one hiring, others are hiring too! Check it out! (Isn't it tempting?)
Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. will make its silicone hydrogel contact lenses in Rochester rather than in Ireland as originally planned, investing $106 million at Bausch & Lomb Inc.’s manufacturing facility here and adding 100 jobs, officials announced Monday. The work will bring $100 million in new investment into the Rochester economy and retain 1,050 jobs in addition to the new ones being created, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said in a statement. Valeant is getting an Empire State Development Corp. grant of $5.8 million and up to $6.2 million in tax credits through the Excelsior Jobs Program.
Don't forget, hundreds of biopharma companies are hiring! (We know you can't resist.)
