CELLINK is awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in Sweden 2019

Last Friday, CELLINK and its four co-founders were awarded the prestigious award, Entrepreneur of the Year in Sweden, 2019.

Each year, the trade organization Företagarna chooses a winner in the award ceremony “Entrepreneur of the Year”. The criteria to win the award are, among other things, to show creativity and innovation, to be leaders and role models, and to show profitability and growth. CELLINK has expanded dramatically during the four years since its inception, and today the company has 170 employees at offices in Gothenburg, Kyoto, Stuttgart and Boston.

The award was presented during a gala evening at Stockholm City Hall together with 600 guests, and was received by CELLINK’s cofounders Erik Gatenholm, Hector Martinez, Jockum Svanberg and Gusten Danielsson.

The jury’s motivation read:

“This year’s winner is a pure role model that has gone beyond what is possible. An innovation company responsible for both hardware and consumables to reconstruct what was previously only possible to request from higher powers. These entrepreneurs leave the jury speechless - and we’re sure this is just the beginning for the company that prints body parts!
