Centene Corporation Completes Sale of New Jersey Assets to Amerigroup

ST. LOUIS, March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) announced today that it has completed the sale of the Medicaid assets of its New Jersey subsidiary, University Health Plans, Inc. (UHP), to Amerigroup New Jersey, Inc. The sale agreement was previously announced in November 2008, and in October 2009, a settlement agreement was reached to resolve litigation regarding this transaction.
