BioniCare Medical Technologies, a Sparks firm whose arthritis treatment had attracted major funding from investors, is liquidating in Chapter 7 bankruptcy. BioniCare’s lead product treated arthritis of the knee, combining a knee brace with technology that used electrical stimuli. By 2005 -- three years after its launch -- it had landed a total of $43 million in funding.
