China-Biotics, Inc. Announces Changes to Management Team

SHANGHAI, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- China-Biotics, Inc. (“China-Biotics”, “the Company”), a leading Chinese firm specializing in the manufacture, research, development, marketing and distribution of probiotics products, today announced that Lewis Fan has resigned as Chief Financial Officer in order to pursue other professional interests. Mr. Fan had no disagreements with the Company in regard to its financial statements or accounting matters. His resignation was effective October 21, 2009.

The Company is currently searching for qualified candidates to replace Mr. Fan. Ms. Eva Yan, Chief Administration Officer and a director of Shanghai Shining Biotechnology Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of China-Biotics (“Shining”), will serve as interim Chief Financial Officer until a successor is named.
