Before joining Clinsys, Dr. Schmied was Executive Director of European Operations for Medifacts International, as well as Global Head of Clinical Research where he had overall day to day responsibility for all CRO activities in the United States, Europe and China. Prior to Medifacts, he held a number of senior management positions in clinical development for Bayer AG. Dr. Schmied received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Cologne, Germany and a certificate in Pharmaceutical Medicine from the European Confederation of the Upper Rhine Universities in Basel, Strasbourg and Freiburg.
