Hillsboro-based DiabetOmics, Inc., which is developing diabetes tests, has raised $4 million from Ventureast, an Indian venture capital fund, according to press reports in India.
DiabetOmics raised the Series C round of funding, along with $1 million from KI Varaprasad Reddy, the founder of Shantha Biotechnics, according to New Delhi-based VC Circle.
Reddy will take over the post of chairman and will head a forthcoming Indian unit, according to the report.
