The BIO International Convention is just around the corner, which means BIO Talent Connect is, too. On June 22, the revamped career event will be taking place in the San Diego Convention Center alongside the convention.
“This year, [we] partnered with BioSpace to host BIO Talent Connect at the 2017 BIO International Convention,” BIO commented. “The BioSpace Talent Connect model has successfully transitioned from a ‘handshake and here’s my resume’ to a broader networking event.”
Formerly the BIO Career Fair, BIO Talent Connect is a unique, career-focused networking experience with some of the top employers in the Life Sciences industry. BIO Talent Connect is the industry’s largest career event of the year, characterized by its relaxed atmosphere that fosters genuine connections. There are no booths, and instead job seekers are able to talk directly with hiring managers and fellow life sciences professionals at comfortable roundtables.
“This year’s format is structured as an industry networking event,” says Josh Goodwin, Managing Director of BioSpace. “Job seekers will be able to participate in roundtable discussions that will allow them to learn not just about specific job opportunities, but also about a company’s culture, values, mission and more.”
Some of the top employers in the country are already signed up to attend, including:
Premier Sponsors:
• Altor BioScience Corporation
• Dynavax
• Houston Methodist Research Institute
• Integrated Project Management Company, Inc.
• Juno Therapeutics
• Lonza
• Merck & Company Inc.

Although BIO Talent Connect is being held on site at the BIO Convention in San Diego, those who are not attending can still register and get their resume seen by sponsoring companies.
For anyone who is in San Diego, Goodwin says, “The meaningful connections that you make at the BIO Talent Connect event make it a ‘can’t miss’ event.”
