Environmental Tectonics Corporation’s Biomedical Division Announces Monoplace Chamber Certification

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Environmental Tectonics Corporation's ("ETC" or the "Company") BioMedical Division today announced that the Malaysian Department of Safety & Health (DOSH) has certified the BARAMED(R) monoplace hyperbaric chamber for use in Malaysia. This is the first U.S. manufactured computer controlled monoplace chamber to receive such a certification.

ETC worked closely with our Malaysian distributor, Alif Harmonis S/B, to help ensure that the hyperbaric chamber passed all certification requirements. Obtaining DOSH certification clears the way for further sales of BARA-MED(R) chambers in Malaysia.

ETC is the manufacturer of the BARA-MED(R) and BARA-MED(R) XD, the industry's most technically advanced hyperbaric chambers. These chambers include a 4th generation Windows(R) based operating system which controls and records chamber activity. ETC hyperbaric chambers remain the leader in providing a patient friendly pressurization alternative (Smooth Ride(TM)) that minimizes complications due to middle ear and sinus barotraumas without increasing compression time. ETC's hyperbaric chambers are regularly used for clinical treatments at medical facilities around the world.

Eric Sprague, Director of Asia Sales for ETC, commented, "The Asian Market is very important to ETC's monoplace expansion plans."

The BioMedical Division continues to evolve its HBOT applications. The BARA-MED and BARA-MED XD are examples of ETC's ability to combine practical value with state-of-the-art technology.
