Burchardt

CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 17, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hemostemix Inc. (“Hemostemix” or the “Company”) (TSX VENTURE: HEM; OTCQB: HMTXF), a biotechnology company focused on developing and commercializing innovative blood-derived stem cell therapies for medical conditions not adequately addressed by current treatments, announces that formal arbitration proceedings have been commenced by Elmar R. Burchardt (“Burchardt”), the Company’s former CEO, over disputed amounts for unpaid salary, severance and benefits amounts allegedly owing to Burchardt after his resignation from the Company in January 2017. Burchardt seeks US$537,198 in the arbitration. The Company believes Burchardt’s demand is without merit and intends to vigorously defend its position.
