ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Human Genome Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: HGSI) today announced the closing of its public offering of 17,825,000 newly issued shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $26.75 per share, which includes 2,325,000 shares sold upon exercise by the underwriters of their option to purchase additional shares. The net proceeds to the Company from the offering are approximately $456.3 million, after deducting the underwriting discount and estimated offering expenses.
