Hydrocision Announces Record Revenue Performance in Second Quarter

NORTH BILLERICA, MA--(Marketwire - August 17, 2009) -

HydroCision Inc. (www.hydrocision.com) announced today that revenue for the second quarter of 2009 increased by 43% over the same fiscal quarter 2008. Trailing quarter product sales increased by 21%, indicating accelerated momentum in the spine business and a growing interest from physicians and hospitals in the company’s products and the medico-economic benefits to the healthcare system.

HydroCision has released multiple products for two spinal applications. One application is for spinal fusion preparation and the other is for minimally invasive discectomy. “Both platforms demonstrated strong year over year growth in the second quarter,” Doug Daniels CEO commented. “We are pleased with the growth of our SpineJet franchise.”

“The team at HydroCision has done an extraordinary job in keeping the patient, and the physicians at the center of our business. By focusing our sales team on continued physician education, and highlighting the positive results from clinical studies we have seen significant top line and bottom line growth. We are looking forward to continued revenue growth in the third quarter of 2009 through further penetration of the company’s core products and two new product releases.”
