PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwired - April 23, 2014) - IntegenX Inc., the market leader in Rapid Human DNA identification, announced today that it will be attending the Forensic DNA Day event Tuesday, April 29th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The event is sponsored by the Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network (RAINN) and the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC). The event will include brief remarks from Debbie Smith, Elizabeth Smart, and a few key Members of Congress, providing an opportunity to showcase forensic DNA technologies for members of Congress and legislative staff who play a key role in determining national policy and funding priorities.
IntegenX will be showcasing the company’s RapidHIT® System, an automated instrument that enables forensic experts to generate DNA profiles for law enforcement professionals in less than two hours, where current processes take months or years. RapidHIT is the first fully automated sample-to-answer system for DNA profile analysis, applicable to police booking station and border checkpoints, to help stop violent crime, human trafficking and fraudulent asylum requests. Now samples processed using IntegenX GlobalFiler® Express cartridges can be uploaded to the FBI’s Combined DNA Index System (CODIS).
“We look forward to demonstrating to attendees how the RapidHIT System enables Law Enforcement professionals to bring criminals to justice faster and ultimately keep their communities safer,” commented Robert A. Schueren, President, Chief Executive Officer, IntegenX.
