SOMERSET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Juvent, Inc., a leading developer of non-invasive, therapeutic medical devices utilizing Dynamic Motion Therapy® (DMT) technology, announced today that the National Institutes of Health has awarded a grant of approximately $4.48 million to Hebrew SeniorLife, a teaching affiliate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the headquarters of the Harvard Medical School Multi-Campus Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine, to fund a clinical study to evaluate the effect of low magnitude mechanical stimulation in improving bone mineral density in elderly individuals with low bone density using Juvent’s DMT technology. Douglas P. Kiel, M.D., Associate Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and Director Medical Research, Institute for Aging Research, Hebrew SeniorLife, will serve as the study’s Principal Investigator, heading a collaboration of internationally known experts in osteoporosis in older persons.
