MedPage Today -- Hypertension in childhood may be a sign of abnormal growth and accelerated maturation in other body systems as well, researchers said. Elevated blood pressure was linked to bone growth unexpectedly mature for a child’s age, Mieczyslaw Litwin, MD, PhD, of the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw, Poland, and colleagues found.
