A-TEK, Inc. announced that it has advanced from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015 certification by successfully completing the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 audit for its corporate office in McLean, Virginia.
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 is the most updated, internationally recognized standard of its kind and focuses on quality management systems and performance. It assists companies in developing a management system that aligns quality with their wider business strategy and implementation of continuous improvement. The newest version of the ISO 9001 certification contains key updates including an emphasis on risk-based thinking to enhance the application of the process approach, improved applicability for services, efficiency, improved communications and increased leadership requirements.
The audit was performed by Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. on May 17, 2018 and A-TEK passed the audit with zero non-conformances, the best result possible. The company previously earned certification under ISO 9001:2008 standard in 2013
