MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Neurosurgery business at Medtronic today announced that Miles Gregory Johnston, Ph.D. has been selected to receive the Robert H. Pudenz Award for Excellence in Cerebrospinal fluid Physiology for the year 2006. Presented annually since 1989, this award is named in honor of Robert H. Pudenz who was a recognized pioneer in the field of pediatric neurosurgery, research in cerebrospinal fluid physiology, and cerebrospinal fluid shunt technology for the treatment of hydrocephalus. The award is determined by a special selection committee established by the Neurosurgery business at Medtronic and is comprised of previous awardees.
