MichBio announces the appointment of David McGuire as the Director, Membership & Operations. In this role, he will manage the success of MichBio’s membership goals; including awareness of existing MichBio services, the expansion of new programs, and supporting the overall health of MichBio’s member companies and in-kind partners.
Prior to joining MichBio, David served as the Director, Chapter Relations for the Fulbright Association, a non-profit association located in Washington, D.C. that serves current and former Fulbright students and scholars. In this role, he was responsible for the management of 51 national chapters, each presenting a wide-range of geographic, demographic and economic variables impacting membership activities and services. During his tenure, he reinvigorated two idle regions and developed three new chapters through the introduction of new programs, targeted events, and enhanced services. Previously, David held positions of Sr. Manager, Attendee Sales & Conference Partnerships at the American Society of Travel Agents and as Project Coordinator, Student Academy for the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Michigan State University and has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank designation of the Boy Scouts of America.
