NantWorks Resolution Of “MOONSHOT"Trademark

Resolves issue by adopting the name “Cancer Breakthroughs 2020"

CULVER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NantWorks, LLC, and its related entities today announced a resolution with The Board of Regents of the University of Texas regarding the “MOONSHOT” name and related trademarks. NantWorks is discontinuing the use of “MOONSHOT” and its variations and will instead use CANCER BREAKTHROUGHS 2020 as the name for its cancer initiative to avoid confusion with The Board of Regents’ MOONSHOT name and related trademarks, based on the Board’s prior use and agreed ownership. The lawsuit has been dismissed and NantWorks and its related entities have agreed to abandon their trademark applications for MOONSHOT variations, and as a result, The Board of Regents is withdrawing its trademark oppositions to NantWorks’ related MOONSHOT trademark applications.
