SAN RAMON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Anthony J. Costello, co-founder and vice president of product development and data services for clinical research software and services provider Nextrials, Inc., has been tapped to serve as the Society for Clinical Data Management’s (SCDM) representative on the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium’s (CDISC) newest collaborative group. For the next year, Costello, currently SCDM’s vice chairman, will work with other industry representatives on CDISC’s Clinical Data Acquisition Standards Harmonization Initiative, or CDASH, organized to establish data collection standards and implementation guidelines for clinical trials. The group will look at methodologies to improve and streamline data collection, handling, review and assessment for all participants in the clinical trial process, including patients, research sites, sponsors and regulatory reviewers.
