This week, the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) announced that Dr. Barry Logan, Vice President of Forensic Science Initiatives at NMS Labs and Executive Director of the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education (CFSRE), is among seventeen leading forensic scientists and researchers to be appointed to the membership of its long awaited Forensic Science Standards Board (FSSB). Dr. Logan, a past president of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) has been appointed to represent the 7,000 member organization on the newly created Board.
