CONNECTICUT, 21 March 2023 – In another milestone for the company’s exclusive AI peptide-discovery platform, a second clinical on Nuritas ingredient PeptiStrong™ may position it as the most effective and revolutionary solution ever discovered for muscle function.
PeptiStrong™ – a plant-sourced next-generation ingredient extracted from fava beans and containing specific cell-signaling peptides, with self-affirmed GRAS and Health Canada-approved – has successfully undergone two clinical studies.
The results of the first study, carried out by Maastricht University under the supervision of Professor Luc Van Loon and published in the Journal of Nutrition, showed that the intelligent ingredient unlocked from the fava bean using cutting-edge technology performs better than traditional animal proteins – specifically milk protein – when it comes to muscle protein synthesis. Trial results The strength recovery trial concluded: PeptiStrong™ boosts strength recovery after intense exercise: 48 and 72 hours after intense exercise, the volunteers that didn’t take PeptiStrong™ lost strength, measured by their peak torque compared to baseline. PeptiStrong™ reduced the loss of muscle strength after exercise-induced muscle damage (EIMD) and effectively relieved delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), which is the pain and soreness experienced after vigorous exercise. The loss of muscle strength was reduced by 54% over the 72 hours following the Day 14 workout, a significant protective effect compared to the placebo. The superiority of PeptiStrong™ was significant: the volunteers using PeptiStrong™ fully recovered over their baseline, with a 148% benefit over the placebo group, who did not even reach their baseline values by the end of the study.
