WINOOSKI, Vt., /PRNewswire/ -- Physician's Computer Company (PCC), the leading Electronic Health Records (EHR) vendor for independent pediatricians nationwide, today announced the rollout of the WeCARE Program, a grant-based initiative aimed at supporting independent pediatric practices who see a high volume of underserved patients. John Canning, PCC's President and Co-Founder, discusses the new program. "As a Benefit Corporation, the WeCARE Program aligns with PCC's ongoing mission of removing obstacles that prevent pediatricians from practicing medicine. Sometimes those obstacles are financial. Independent pediatricians working hard to bring high quality care to underserved communities often receive payments from insurance programs that are not enough to cover the costs associated with maintaining a practice. By supporting pediatricians with technology made for their specialty, we can improve the efficiency and quality of care they are able to provide. Our aim is to help pediatricians continue to serve the people and places that are important to them." Twice a year, this PCC-sponsored program will accept applications for a final selection of at least two recipients. Independent pediatric practices who enter the program will receive PCC's pediatric EHR and Practice Management software at no cost for the first six months of operation, and a customized rate for the duration of their partnership with PCC. Both new and established practices that can demonstrate the expansion and improvement of care for underserved children in their area will be encouraged to apply. While many EHR vendors simply offer a general software solution, PCC provides much more than that, as the recipients of the WeCARE grant will soon discover. The vendor not only develops tools created specifically for pediatricians, they also share cutting-edge thought leadership and practice management consulting with their clients. As champions for independent pediatricians, their educational conferences, support, consulting, and solutions are well- known in the industry. PCC's WeCARE Program will officially kickoff in January of 2019. Applications and more information can be found at https://www.pcc.com/wecare/ About PCC Contact Information
