Event will feature industry leaders, cutting-edge technology in cell line development
CAMBRIDGE-March 16, 2023- Sartorius, a leading international partner of life science research and the biopharmaceutical industry, will host the Sartorius Summit: Shaping CLD Solutions Through Expert Insight event today. The event will feature leading industry experts who will lead robust panel discussions on accelerating and optimizing the cell line development (CLD) process.
The Sartorius Summit event will introduce participants to the latest developments in CLD technology and provide solutions and risk management strategies to overcome challenges throughout every step of the CLD workflow. Participants will also gain a deeper understanding of how a single vendor approach can minimize risks and optimize outcomes for life science companies looking to produce a safe, reliable product.
“Our goal at Sartorius is to accelerate and simplify therapeutic development for our biomanufacturing partners worldwide. We are supporting the optimization of cell line development for commercial scale by focusing on increasing scalable productivity, reducing timelines, and minimizing risk,” said Hugo de Wit, Head of Business Area Cell Culture Technologies at Sartorius. “Through our cell line and media development technologies and in-house services, our customers have successfully applied for more than 200 molecules of different types which are either in clinic or have obtained market approval.”
“Last year, Sartorius closed on a deal to acquire a majority stake in Automated Lab Solutions (ALS) which added the CellCelector Flex platform to our portfolio of highthroughput and automated bioanalytical instruments,” said Fiona Coats, Ph.D., Head of Marketing, Lab Products & Services, Sartorius. “The CellCelector single cell and colony picking platform is used for high-throughput single cell cloning, allowing faster and simpler generation of clonal production cell lines. This complementary technology delivers on our promise of “Simplifying Progress” and nicely rounds out our end-to-end solutions for cell line development workflows.”
The Sartorius Summit event will take place in the heart of Kendall Square at Mass Bio’s headquarters at 700 Technology Square, Floor 5, in Cambridge, MA from 10am-5pm. Parking is available close to the venue.
